Company owners Scott and Jennifer Ross opened the doors to Atlanta Home Theater in 1996 in the suburban city of Roswell, GA., in the greater Atlanta area. The company has survived two recessions, and it’s still going strong. Part of its success lies behind its well thought-out showroom, which was designed to appeal to clients of all budget levels. The rest of its success is driven by the firm’s commitment to honesty, 24-hour customer-service department and the esprit de corps that fuels the entire staff.
Ten-year-old audio/video Miami-based design and installation company, Maxicon, has joined forces with the internationally-known company, Walters-Storyk Design Group (WSDG). WSDG has created thousands of recording studios and professional audio production environments for their clients. Their clients have included everyone from Jimi Hendrix and Bruce Springsteen, to corporations and broadcasters such as PBS and MTV.

Siam Paragon in Bangkok is home to the most exclusive shops in Thailand, which is why Meridian Audio chose to situate their new concept store there. The store will house the first dedicated Meridian showroom in the world, as well as feature several zones that display the company’s products and concepts.
Talk of the Town, a norther New Jersey dealer with showrooms in Allendale and Hoboken, hosts a special event today, called "The Automated Home," for local architects and designers. New York Spaces magazine, is co-hosting the event and the night will feature socializing and demonstrations on how home theater and automation technology can fit into architectural and interior design.
At this year’s CEDIA Expo in Atlanta, Georgia, Digital Projection International (DPI) was the recipient of this year’s Best New Product award. Their TITAN 1080p Dual 3D projector was the only projector to win an award at the banquet. DPI’s win is appropriate, as 3D technology was major at this years CEDIA Expo. At the show, attendees were able to experience DPI’s winning projector firsthand through their Total 3D Experience System.
Vendor showrooms continue to gain popularity. The latest company to open a showroom in a major city is Savant Systems, the A/V control technology company that has been gaining steam in the CE industry. The company announced today that it will open a 7,500-square-foot showcase design center in New York City’s SoHo district.
