Speaker company, Bowers & Wilkins, collaborated with Jaguar on developing the sound system for the car company’s 2011 XJ model.

Placement of the speakers was crucial. Bowers & Wilkins worked closely with Jaguar design director, Ian Callum, to accomplish the best sound. “Typically, loudspeakers do not receive this degree of attention and are often an afterthought considered after window and door mechanisms are packaged. Jaguar secured the space where the speakers needed to be early in the development process to achieve the best acoustic results whilst maintaining the unique styling of the vehicle,” said Bowers & Wilkins director of strategic business, Martin Lindsay.
